Retreating in Shipshewana

I'm back in Shipshewana, Indiana, waiting for our Dear Jane retreat to start tomorrow afternoon. I've checked into the beautiful Farmstead Inn.

The first thing I did when I got to town was head over to Lollys and buy a little bag of fabric.

I think I might have been so excited that I bought the same batik twice.

I'm posting this from my iPad and don't know whether or not the photos will end up in the post or where they will be in the post. If anyone has any tips for posting to a blogger blog using an iPad, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. HI! LuAnn. Looks wonderful where you are going for the retreat. Lovely colours for the fabric and the photos are good from the iPad .I have not posted from it with a photo but would just click on blogger and go to dashboard. I comment from my iPad.

  5. I'm not there with you this Spring and sad about that. But I know you will do a great job of "retreating" AND hitting the local shops for all of us that couldn't make it :) 'Thanks for sharing the pics - that will help!

  6. What a beautiful setting for your retreat - I especially like all that green grass!!!
Have a great time with all the Janes.

Do you know about Blogsy - it is a free app for iPad users. While I would like to see a few more options added in the way of fonts and ease of editing it does a pretty good job. Quite basic and simple to pull photos off your own Photo Stream/Camera roll.

  7. Well, if you did buy the same batik twice just use the one side of one. . . and the other side of the other (since the fronts & backs look so different).

I think I read that there is a quilt show in Shipshewana. . . I'm hoping to be able to get there next year (since I'm already overbooked for trips this year).

Never been there, but one of my dad's sisters lives near there (haven't seen her in probably close to 20 years). . .so that might be an extra push to get out there.

    Enjoy your retreat.

  12. Enjoy your retreat. I post from the blogger app on my I-pad from time to time. It doesn't seem to let you do much with the formatting. The pictures usually just show up at the bottom under all the words. Hope you get lots done while you are there.
