'Twas the night before Christmas, and I've been doing some cooking for the big Christmas dinner tomorrow. We made some Southern Banana Pudding. This is a new recipe to me. One important thing I learned from my Mother-in-Law was never to tell a group right before a meal that you were trying a new recipe. That is a sure bet that most people won't take a chance on it. So I'll just tell you and hope it remains a secret until tomorrow evening.

We also made a new type of cookie this year. These are called Hot Cocoa Cookies, and the recipe is on the back of the Jet Puffed Mallow Bits container. These bits are something I haven't tried before either.
We also made the good old stand-by Toll House Cookies.
Here is another new dish. (I know...I'm taking a lot of chances here.) This recipe is a knock off of Ruth Chris Sweet Potatoes, and I'm pretty excited about this one. In a couple of days I will know whether these recipes are keepers or not. If they are a hit, I'll share the recipes with you. There will also be chicken, noodles, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, green bean casserole, "green stuff", rolls, apple caramel pie, Velveeta/rotel dip and plenty of other things.
While taking a few breaks today, I finished another Road 66 hexagon.
Everything is prepared for tomorrow, and we are leaving for Christmas Eve service in awhile.
