I'm still having fun making six pointed stars. Here are those that I've done so far. I'm beginning to think about how I'm going to set these stars. Any ideas?

These are always the most amazing posts...always love each star. Only thing I would suggest is a pale background so the stars will pop.

ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat, I don;t know how to set mine either! I am thinking towards a connecting hexagon (all in the same fabric,which will give a sense of cohesion to the whole thing).

I can't get enough of your fussy-cut EPP. No clue how to set them, but am sitting patiently to find out.

ReplyDeleteYours stars are beautiful. I am making the same quilt. I am going with a seven sisters type of design. A huge 4" hexie in the middle surrounded by six stars. You will need some filler diamonds between the six stars, in the same color as your hexagon. Temecula Quilt Co did a post on that finish and I really liked it because I have never done one like that before. Hopefully that helps with at least one idea. I think she mentioned that you will need 92 stars in total to make the quilt.
Your stars are lovely LuAnn. I would be inclines to join them with hexagons. As for fabric choice I would use a subtle tone on tone print to show them off to their best advantage!
