Yes Kevin, I Can Do Scrappy Mystery Quilt

This is my second quilt top finish for 2016.  This is my Yes Kevin, I Can Do Scrappy Mystery Quilt named in honor of Kevin The Quilter.  You can find Kevin's blog here.   This mystery was put together by Ann at Attic Threads.  You can find Ann's blog here.   I'm really happy with how this turned out.

This quilt was made from my stash except for the white jelly roll that I bought to use for the background.  I had a couple of Christmas jelly rolls here which worked out really well since all of the blocks were made from 2 1/2" strips.  I also added in a bit of  my Christmas fabric stash.

The clues for the mystery were released once a month, You can still find all of the clues plus the final reveal diagram of the finished quilt at Attic Threads blog.    Thanks to Ann for a great mystery!

I hope to have this quilted, bound, and ready for display next Christmas.

I hope you are finding some time to stitch today!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

  1. That turned out well. I collected the instructions, but haven't had time to begin sewing. Thanks for a spoiler of what the quilt will look like... Now I really want to get started on it!!!

  2. That's one of the best mystery quilts I've ever seen. I never been able to do a mystery for fear of it ending in a pattern I hate. Well done! You've made me reconsider my logic.

  3. What a great quilt. I like energy of it and the colors. I'd say it's a winner for a mystery quilt.

  4. A very festive finished top. I hope you meet your goal of getting it quilted. Remember Flurry? I won the fabric from you years ago, right? I made the top the following year and each year I tell myself it will be quilted by Christmas. Hasn't happened. I have 3 other Christmas flimsies in queue with it. I am so bad. Maybe if you get this quilted I will follow your good example! : )

  9. That's a great quilt and nice use for your scraps. I quit doing mystery quilts as I never liked the quilt once finished. This quilt would be the exception.
