Quilting Day Saturday

On Saturday I went to the north side of town to meet with a group of quilting friends for the day. We had a show and tell right after we had a slice of coffee cake and a visit to catch up on what each of us had been doing.
This quilt is called Oh Tannenbaum made by Jennifer. It was a block of the month from a few years back. This is one that I still have yet to start, but after seeing this one it makes me want to get started on mine before the holidays.

This is Shenandoah Log Cabin from Judy Martin's book Cookies 'N Quilts made by Laura. I love the red and blue batiks.

This one is layered and ready to be quilted.  It also belongs to Laura.

Love this Maypole fabric.  Laura also made this jelly roll race quilt.

These are antique doll quilts that Pam brought to show.

Our challenge for this get together was to make a small quilt.  Laura's is on the left and Susie's is the pretty blue octagon.  Love both of them.

Lois is stitching the binding on a baby quilt while Elizabeth is working on the binding on the quilt at the bottom of the photo.

Laura's home is beautiful.

There was a gorgeous view of the water.

We had a great taco salad with all the fixings for lunch.

Even the cat was relaxed........

Laura had beautiful floral displays on her front porch.  I would love to have one of these desks.

She had flowers planted in the chair seat.

There were even flowers planted in boots.

We had a really nice day and can't wait to get together again.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
