Fall Table Topper Finish

While I was in Shipshewana, I finished sewing the binding on this fall table topper.  I just took it off the kitchen table today, but I don't have the Christmas topper finished yet.

Here's a close up of the quilting.  I've been doing this same paisley pattern on a lot of the things I'm quilting, but I like the way it looks, it's easy, and I enjoy quilting it.  The pattern is from one of the videos on Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting Project Site.

When we went to Ikea north of Cincinnati in October, I bought this basket.  I have it in the corner of the breakfast nook to hold some of my finished table toppers.

  1. It is a beautiful topper and I think the paisley design looks great on it. I just finished two table topper flimsies today and need to get them quilted. Wish my paisley looked as good as yours!

  3. The basket of table toppers is a great idea. That paisley quilting design is one of my favorite go to designs. Seems to work on many styles of quilts.

  9. Your table topper is gorgeous! And the quilting is excellent. I like that quilt pattern and have used it quite a bit. I've been to Shipshewana once, but unfortunately, didn't have much time there. I hope to get back there someday.

  10. Your table topper is beautiful. I also like that quilting design and can see why you get lots of use out of it.

Now that's a great basket! I have never been to Ikea and after seeing all the things they have from various friends and blogs I am a little afraid to go. I may need to borrow a truck. LOL
