Ohio Collection Quilt Update

Here are all of my Ohio Collection blocks to date.  The blocks are from the Ohio Collection book by Anita Shackleford with substitution blocks from Album Quilts of Ohio's Miami Valley by Sue Cummings.

I haven't accomplished a lot of sewing this week, but I did the Double T block.  I love to draw in Electric Quilt and print out paper piecing patterns whenever I can.  The default block size is 6 inches.  I completed the 6" block on the left, and then I checked the Ohio Collection book.  The block was supposed to be 12", and that explains why it looked so out of place to me.  So I redid the block to finish at 12", and the smaller one will go into my orphan block collection.

After returning from The Jane Stickle Retreat in Shipshewana, I had some catching up to do here at home.  And, as you are reading this post I am on the way to the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah.  This is my birthday month, and so far it has been just great with a trip to the Chicago show, and 6 days in Shipshewana and now two days in Paducah.

While I was at the retreat in Shipshewana, a couple of the girls were starting the Little Gem sew along with the Temecula Quilt Company.  Since they sold the 1" Jewel paper pieces at Yoders, I decided to buy a couple of packages and join in.  These will work nicely with hexagons, and I think they will add interest to a hexagon quilt.

The other bloggers that are working on the Ohio Collection quilt are:
You can stop by their blogs to see their Ohio Collection blocks.

I hope you are finding some time to stitch today!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

My T block turned out just a bit off kilter on one side but I think it will be okay when I sew it into the quilt.

Lucky you getting to go first to the retreat and now to Paducah. You are going to be ready for a big rest when you get home.

Wow! Chicago show, Shipshewana and now Paducah?
Quilt heaven for you. Hope you are having a blast at Paducah. It was nice to see you again at Shipshewana. Sorry I didn't get over to see you and what you were working on. When I was in wander mode you weren't at your spot.
