The mailman brought me some good mail today. My friend, Val, from Canada sent me this beautiful alpaca yarn that is sock weight along with a nice card. It's not my birthday or any special day, she just decided to send me a surprise. This yarn is so soft. I need to get busy knitting some socks before it gets much colder.
In early July, she sent me these fingerless gloves that she knit. She is an awesome knitter. I don't usually do anything quite so fancy. I have these in my pile of things to take with me to the Dear Jane retreat in Shipshewana in a couple of weeks.
I've been up in my sewing room stitching all afternoon. Maybe in a couple of days I'll have some photos to show you. Hope you all had some time to stitch today.
Hi LuAnn,
ReplyDeletethis alpaca yarn looks very soft. It is a nice present from your friend Val. The fingerless gloves are looking very difficultto knit.
I'm very interested, what you are doing now in your sewing room.
Have a nice day and greetings from Germany
