I spent yesterday afternoon cutting 3 1/2" strips of my batiks to start a new project. I chose these happy colors that remind me of spring. After all, it is officially spring.
Today looked like anything but spring. We ended up with around 8 inches of snow on the ground.
This gives a little better idea of the snow depth. As you can see there was some blowing and drifting.
The weatherman says it will be 59 degrees on Saturday so this will all be gone by then. I put my boots on and went outside awhile today to enjoy the last snow of the season (hopefully).
We celebrated Daniel's first birthday on Friday evening. Here he is...before the cake!
Thanks for stopping by!
Gorgeous array of batiks, LuAnn. Hope they help you get in the spirit of the season, since the weather won't cooperate.

ReplyDeleteI love batiks, but I don't use them very often because I heard that it's difficult to hand quilt batiks.
Hard to believe that little Punkin is a year old already. How adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bunch of fabrics! Very spring looking indeed. Unlike that white stuff!
Love the batiks and look forward to seeing what you are making. I can not believe just how many bloggers are getting snow this late in March. We are due for rain, hopefully it will not get cold enough snow.
