A couple of weeks ago, I pulled this quilt from the pile to put it on our bed only to discover that I hadn't hand stitched the binding down. I worked on it in the evenings while we were away, and now it is officially finished.
This is Roll Roll Cotton Boll, the Bonnie Hunter mystery for 2010. I'm especially proud of this one because it is made totally from my stash.
This is the first Quiltville mystery that I've done. There are lots of pieces to Bonnie's mysteries, but they are really well worth the effort. I have her last two mysteries in various stages, too.

I love the border on this one. If you haven't done one of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilts, she starts them sometime in November and gives one clue a week for 7 or 8 weeks. The clues for this year's mystery, Easy Street, are still posted on her blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
What an accomplishment, LuAnn! It looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have only worked on the last two mysteries. Orca Bay needs borders, and Easy Street only has about 1/3 of the blocks made. Someday. : )
LuAnn, it is just beautiful! What a wonderful finish!! I too, love the border! And out of your stash - what an accomplishment!!

wow! all those tiny pieces! As my kids would say "Respect!" :-D
ReplyDeleteTotally fabulous quilt LuAnn! Love the colours you used for the main blocks and borders and those string pieced blocks are brilliant. Thanks for the tutorial for those. Had a peek and now I can't wait to give it a go.

ReplyDeleteFor anyone interested in Easy Street, Bonnie has said it comes down June 1 but will be available in book form later.
Congratulations! Such a HUGE finish. The border is the perfect way to wrap things up for this one. Such a great accomplishment.

ReplyDeleteThis is really spectacular! Inspires me to get my blocks out and get them together!
ReplyDeleteI adore this one! It is on a list that I have of "want to make quilts". If all I ever worked on were Bonnie patterns I would be as happy as could be.
