Benjamin Biggs and Football

I'm getting ready to settle down for the evening to watch some football.  I'm going to do a little more stitching on Block 1 of the Benjamin Biggs quilt offered as a free block of the month from Gay at Sentimental Stitches and Brenda of Dear Jane.  Follow the links to find the free pattern.

I have some snacks ready.

There's a pot of chili simmering on the stove for later.

                                 So let the game begin.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

  1. Hi luAnn,
I'm working on my first Benjamin Biggs block and also watching football too! What a coincidence! It will be my first full sized applique quilt and I am happy that you are doing it too.

  2. I'm getting ready to head down to the sewing room, and I guess I'll be watching the game too. I suppose I might even root for the Colts.

  4. Oh Yea, I am glad you are doing this quilt also. Good luck to the colts, I am sort of watching, only because I am interested in who might play the Broncos...Colorado native here :)

  9. Was rooting for the Colts tonight as I stitched a binding down...sad to see the season winding down...our Packers had their ending last week...now they can start to mend.

Looking for a background to do the Benjamin Biggs quilt too. Decided to use just a couple of muddy colors and keep it simple after the big Beyond the Cherry Tree quilt.

Like your classic red and green!

  12. Wow! The BB quilt project is amazing and will keep you quite busy :) So sorry about your Colts! I was pulling for them. My daughter is a huge fan and was devastated. We are Panthers fans, and very much afraid we are going to meet our demise today at the hands of the 49ers :(

  13. I love what you've pulled for your first block. I'm supposed to go wild and crazy with my fabric choices but can't quite get there yet. I watched the game and wasn't happy with the ending at all!

  14. Sorry about the Colts! You watch football just like I do handwork, snacks, and chili on the stove. I am torn on the Bronco and Charger game. We live in CO, but are from San Diego---I guess it is a win win.
