Here is my latest finished top. This is Easy Street, the Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt that finished in January 2013. This is top # 3 finished for the year.
I had finished part of the blocks before this was packed up and taken to storage as a UFO before we moved. I realized that I had all of the parts pieced to finish the alternate blocks, so I've been working on getting this top pieced together.
The photo on my monitor looks like part of the blocks are yellow, but they are all different lime fabrics. Most of them are batiks. I had fun at Back Door Quilts choosing the inner and outer border fabrics with the girls. Except for the border, the rest of the quilt was made from my stash.

I hope you are finding some time to stitch today.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
Your Easy Street top is beautiful. Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I love those colors!! :0)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Makes me want to get mine out and make progress on it, but it isn't as pretty as yours. Love the batiks!
ReplyDeleteI'll be cheering you on in the "no starting, no buying just for stash" department". Wish I was that strong. Feel like I am doing well just to not start SALs. : )
It's absolutely gorgeous LuAnn! I love the border fabric you chose. Well done and congratulations on the finish.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors - such a striking quilt! I am with you on doing UFO's and no new fabrics. Although I did order some of the 108" fabrics from Hancock's that was on sale - So much easier to quilt with the 108" rather than piecing the backs. LAZY in my old age. LOL. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHello LuAnn, your quilt is stunning, great job to get it finished.
ReplyDeleteYour fabric choices gives a very fresh look to the quilt. Like a tropical drink.

Your Easy Street looks great! Congrats on another top being finished.
ReplyDeleteI am trying not to start any new projects or buy any fabric unless I know it's going into a project I have started.
ReplyDeleteoH LuAnn, this should be my mantra for 2016. Maybe we she start a group and take a pledge ha ha
Your quilt is just lovely, I love the colours you chose.
Your quilt is stunning and it's finished. Don't be too strict with yourself about starting something new. It may not feel like fun anymore. Love all your green in your header!
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome! Congratulations on crossing off another quilt from the UFO list!
ReplyDeleteYour fabric selections make this quilt design dynamic. Great job!
ReplyDeletei love bonnie's quilts too but since i hand quilt, they have too many seams for me...although i have made a couple and tied them...they are all gorgeous and your interpretation of ES is as well!
