Hello Everyone
I spent last week in Shipshewana, Indiana, at our semi annual Jane Stickle Retreat. The weather was beautiful all week. I was able to get up close and personal with some of the horse and buggies.
I shopped at Lolly's.
Here's a wide shot of Yoders Department Store. Yes. There's lots more fabric here.
Rebecca's Arts and Antique Shop on Morton Street. I was there twice. She has lots of quilts, quilt tops, and quilt blocks.
I own several of the baskets you see here and quite a few jars of the Amish Apple Butter and different kinds of jams.
This week has been really busy. I have photos of our Friday night show and tell, but I'm leaving bright and early tomorrow morning (6 am), for a weekend in Paducah to see the quilt show there so I'll post more when I get back.
I hope you are all finding some time to stitch.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
I enjoy seeing your reports of your Shipshewana trips--probably as close as I'll ever get. : )
ReplyDeleteOh, I look forward to your account of Paducah.
The stores in Shipshewana are so tempting. Beautiful displays of fabric. I will be going in June for their annual quilt show.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful treasures/quilts to see in that Antique shop!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are keeping wonderfully busy.
Safe travels and have an awesome time next week too in Paducah.
Looks Wonderful. I've always wanted to visit there.
ReplyDeletewow - great quilting inspiration
You're quite the busy girl!! Have fun, can't wait to see pics.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous every time you post about Shipshewana. I will get there some day!! Have fun in Paducah.
ReplyDeleteI am moving there!!!!!!!!! So many things to see and the fabric is so beautiful. (in my dreams). But maybe someday I can visit. You are just having too much fun this year LuAnn!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a safe and happy quilting adventure - Lolly's & Yoder's are both on my bucket list and must return to Paducah at least one more time - have not been there since 1999 - long overdue!
ReplyDeleteMy one and only time shopping at Lolly's happened this past summer. I could have spent a lot more time and a lot more money there than I did. But I can assure you, I came out with bunches of fat quarters and some yardage. Wish I lived nearby it as I would be a regular customer. Well, I don't want to experience winter a snow, so maybe I would like to live nearby in the summer.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful time in Paducah!
