I'm on vacation in the Smoky Mountains. I've been sitting out on the porch this morning waiting for the fog to lift so we can go check out a couple of water falls.
The view is gorgeous, and the weather is supposed to clear up by early afternoon.

While waiting, I've been stitching on the little fall tumbler quilt kit that I won from Kathie's blog, Inspired by Antique Quilts. You can see the size of the tumblers compared to the coffee cup. I don't have a ruler with me, but I would guess they are 1 3/4" tall. I had forgotten how relaxing it is to hand piece.
I hope you are all taking it easy and finding some time to do some stitching today.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

I LOVE vacationing in the Smokies which is one of my favorite destinations. It is so beautiful there.
ReplyDeleteWish I was there sitting and stitiching with you (and a cup of coffee)! So glad you won Kathie's giveaway. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours of your fabrics and I'm glad you are enjoying your hand piecing, it is so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI just received my copy of Cookies 'n quilts. To say I am excited is an understatement, thankyou so much for pointing me to this book. I won't be making any of the cookies tho, as nearly all the ingredients are not available here in England (I have some flapjacks in the oven to compensate!).
Those teeny tumblers are just darling!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that vacation time-- your photos look lovely.
I remember this spot of yours and when you were there another time - it truly is a beautiful place. Happy stitching!
