I haven't been doing a lot of sewing lately, even though I've been busy. Here is my latest Fussy Friday Star. As you can see by the vine on my trellis, spring isn't here just yet.
The fabric I used in that star is Cottage Garden by Kaye England for Wilmington Prints.
Here are a few more that I made. At this point I'm a bit behind, but I have a few more cut and ready to sew.
The fabric used in the top left star is Savannah by Jo Morton for Andover fabrics.
The other two are cut from English Pathways by Kaye England.
I hope you are finding some time to stitch today!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
Wonderful! You are an artist!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! You are an artist!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, and, I love your blog header photos of all the EPP shapes. I remember you did a post on different glue for using while EPP, do you have a favorite now that you have done so much more ?
ReplyDeleteThe extra time needed for fussy cutting parts for EPP is so worth it. Your stars are fantastic! And thank you, selvage edge info. You answered a couple questions I had.
ReplyDeleteI'll echo Cheri's compliment above. Love the display of your beautiful work in the header.
Once again your fussy cut stars are inspiring. I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful new header!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly made good use of those swirly designs (that is the technical term) in the fabric. It looks wonderful!
I love seeing the fabric from which you cut your stars. It is so interesting to see how you have used the patterns.
Very nice work!
I love your star blocks! It's amazing what the fussy-cutting can do for a simple 6-point star. Thanks for showing the "before" pictures of the fabric.
ReplyDeleteFussy cutting is so much fun and you can get so many different looks from a single fabric. Your stars are lovely and I am hard pressed to choose a favourite!
ReplyDeleteLove watching your stars take shape - each one is amazing. Kaye England sure has some fascinating fabrics and you know how to make them shine!!
ReplyDeleteLovely stars, Louann. I sort of lost momentum on mine, glad you posted and shared yours. Now I know what I'm gonna do this morning - prep some more stars!
