Lollys Quilt Shop in Shipshewana

Here are some of the photos from the Dear Jane Retreat that I attended the week before Thanksgiving in Shipshewana, Indiana.  To be honest, we had one small snowfall before I left for the retreat, but I'm not sure any of us were prepared for the bitterly cold temperatures, blowing snow and some below zero wind chills that we experienced while we were there so I didn't take as many outdoor photos as I normally do during the retreat.

I took these photos inside of Lolly's Quilt Shop located in the big Davis Mercantile building at the north end of Shipshewana.  You can't miss it.  There are many things in that building that are on the "must see" list when visiting there.  This is usually my first stop when I get to town.

Here are part of the Civil War/reproduction fabrics.  There are more bolts located around the corner from these.  I think the bigger quilt is from the Judy Martin book Stellar Stars.  The star quilt to the left is from a pattern called Broken Stars.

Here are part of the batiks, red, black and whites, brights.....

There are lots of books and samples to see.

The Moda room.......

Outside Lolly's on the porch.  In the warmer months, the porch is full of rocking chairs.

Inside, Mike and Chris gave me a preview of some quilts they are going to display after they are quilted.  This one is in Judy Martin's Log Cabin Quilt Book.

The bright red in this Kentucky Log Cabin quilt just makes it sing.

The stars in the next two are just striking.

This one is from a Country Threads pattern called River Town.  I really love all the secondary designs in this one.

These are only a small part of my retreat photos.  I have lots of photos from show and tell coming up.

I hope you are finding some time during this busy season to take a few stitches!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
